Big Data Expo 2026: AADE Champions Global AI and Tokenization Dialogue to Advance Singapore’s Digital Edge

August 30, 2026 | Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China
2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo Opening Ceremony

The 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo convened in Guiyang, marking the twelfth consecutive year of the world's first national-level, international big-data-themed exposition. Hosted by the China National Data Administration and organized by the Guizhou Provincial Government, this year's gathering drew approximately 16,000 registered attendees and 372 exhibiting enterprises across 60,000 square meters of dedicated exhibition space.

Underscoring Singapore’s strategic role as a trusted global digital hub and governance nexus, the Singapore-headquartered Asia Academy of Digital Economics (AADE) took center stage at this year's expo.

Strategic Keynote: Guizhou's Path in the Global AI Computing Game

During the expo, the AADE President delivered a highly anticipated keynote titled "Global AI Computing Power Game and Token Going Global Strategy: Guizhou's Path Based on the 'Singapore Niche'." Analyzing the underlying capital logic of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry, Tan drew a sharp contrast between the United States (US) and China. He pointed out that while US model enterprises widely face high-leverage borrowing risks, China is successfully forging unique supply-and-demand fundamentals driven by "entity credit plus computing vouchers."

Amid the structural shortage of computing tokens globally, the address explored how Guizhou can leverage Singapore's international compliance niche to achieve true "Token going global." Tan outlined specific operational paths, including: exporting high-computing and low-latency services such as film and television rendering; striving to become an edge computing node for the inference phase of international large models in China (analogous to Apple's Guian Data Center); and utilizing a "Guizhou computing base + Singapore overseas frontend" synergy. This strategic linkage aims to attract premium global AI startup teams to anchor their development and data annotation operations in Guizhou.

Media Engagement: Amplifying the Digital Dialogue

Beyond the keynote stage, AADE leadership contributed expert analyses to international media broadcasts, focusing on the structural volume of data required for advanced AI training and the critical role of data annotation. President Tan was featured in exclusive interviews across three prominent programs on China Central Television (CCTV).

CCTV-13 News Live Room (新闻直播间): On CCTV's flagship news channel, President Tan discussed the macro-level implications of the expo and the evolving landscape of global big data infrastructure.

CCTV-2 Economic Information Simulcast (经济信息联播): Continuing the dialogue on China's premier financial network, AADE unpacked the economic drivers behind AI token processing and how regional computing hubs can integrate into the global digital supply chain.

CCTV-2 World Finance (天下财经): Finally, on the globally focused World Finance program, the conversation shifted to international cooperation, highlighting the strategic synergy between Guizhou's computing capabilities and Singapore's regulatory frameworks.
